Weekly Photo Challenge: Indulge

simple beauty

When I thought about the weekly photo challenge and that word… indulge, I contemplated about what it is that I like to indulge in myself.  I was very disappointed in not having any decent amounts of the wonderful white stuff here this winter. I am ready to indulge myself in the wonder of spring with its green grasses and the vivid colors of the flowers.

This photo reminds me of being a kid and laying in the grass staring up into the clouds, looking for the hidden animals and shapes.  “You don’t see that there?,”  you would say to your best friend laying next to you in the grass but they also see something you can’t see either.  Then you both stay laying there in the grass using your imaginations it find things in the clouds together and separately.  A simple indulgence if childhood.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Down

Lunchtime

I took this photo years ago when my husband and I were truck drivers.  We would drive by the Dinosaur Park all the time but never get to stop because we were a team and as a team you have to keep your truck moving almost constantly.  If you ever want to truly see if you are meant to be with the person you married, become truck drivers together right after you get married and go out over the road.  Our marriage was tested on that road out by the dinosaurs but we didn’t let it get us down.  Yet I’m still smiling as I write this because even though we did have our down times we had our up times out there too and we learned a lot about each other and it’s made us the wonderful couple we are today.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Regret

Grandmother's sewing machine drawers.

Regret not spending more time with her before she past away.

Regret not learning more about sewing from her while she was alive.

Regret not actually using her sewing machine that is in the cabinet.

Regret not finishing the sewing projects I start.

Regret.
